Senior Process Development Engineer, Administaff Client

Senior Process Development Engineer

Qualified candidates must have a background in the Solar or Semiconductor industries with a strong track record of success in new development areas and product introduction. This individual will be part of a team that is delivering innovative process solutions to the Solar and semiconductor industries. A key requirement is that candidates have the desire and experience to help the team innovate and pioneer new solutions using rapid development methodologies.

As the Senior Process Development Engineer, you will develop advanced electrodeposition and packaging processes. This position requires strong ability to qualify processes and to validate materials.

Responsibilities:

 Develop new processes: create state of the art electrodeposition processes implementing novel materials

 Process development covers the entire scope of activities: device integration, process integration, chemistry management, design, qualification and validation

 Perform metrology and analysis: material structure, chemical composition, mechanical characteristics (stress, strain, thermal, electrical)

Develop chemistries, tooling or instrumentation to support processes

Implement processes into packaging flow

Qualify structures and processes for reliability

Assist in product marketing and patent writing

Work with materials suppliers to ensure material supply and development of advanced chemistries

Support customer applications and service (travel required)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s of Science degree in Materials Science, ME, Chemistry and ChE with experience in process development for the semiconductor or solar industries (back end) and 8-10 years of industry experience; not looking for someone who can just plate; position requires a Process Engineer

Knowledge of metallization systems is essential; experience in material qualification also required

Advanced ability to perform metrology on materials (thermal, structural, chemical and atomic)

Ability to handle a fast paced environment; resourcefulness and creativity highly valued

Record of innovation and taking initiative is a must; looking for impact players

Ability to travel abroad (Asia, Europe)

Proven ability to work with small teams in a multi-tasking environment

Skilled in DOE, SPC and report writing

Understanding of MES and WIP tracking concepts

Experience developing and supporting applications in a manufacturing environment
