Application Engineer Low k1 Imaging, ASML

As an application engineer your main focus is full responsibility for effective and efficient implementation of ASML systems at a customer production site. Span of activities includes optimizing the use of ASML systems into a specific customer production environment. Within projects you set customer requirements and review future designs. Once available, you field test new products and functionalities at customer sites on ‘on chip’ performance and user friendliness. On a daily basis you support local colleagues at customer sites. You analyze most complex problems by introducing advanced analysis tools and using ASML know how and expertise to improve the customer production process. Next to engineering, you have a consultancy role towards customers. In this job you travel internationally up to 30 %. You represent ASML in all aspects: technological leadership, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Customer Support is in charge of application and equipment support, maintenance and continuous improvement of ASML systems at customer locations. Your colleagues deliver best-in-class customer satisfaction for ASML customers. Highly motivated and well-trained engineers work closely with customers and ASML research and development in Veldhoven. At this department customer satisfaction meets technological excellence. Technology knowledge is addressed to, but also your consultancy skills will be tested. Support, consultancy, engineering, developing and designing are all main activities at Customer Support. Also delivering solutions of ASML systems and optimizing the use at customer sites is part of Customer Support. Continuous development of your technical expertise and personal skills is essential. Competencies:
Strong technical back ground and drive towards solutions. Strong analytical skills. Good (multi cultural) communicative skills and customer orientation.Able to coordinate complex projects in a customer environment with many contributors.Adequate English language skills in speech and writing.�Education: Master or PhD degree in technical science (physics, electronics, chemistry, process technology or optics)

Experience:
At least 4 years of experience in an IC manufacturing environment or R&D environment, with a strong emphasys on the area of actual device application of low k1 enhancements such as OPC, RET, illumination shape optimizations, advanced resist processing, resist modeling etc..
