Reporting to the European CAD Support Manager. You will be responsible for providing direct technical support for corporate CAD tools and flows used at National. In this role, the engineer will work both independently and collaboratively with other CAD Support team members in Central CAD Group and with corporate R&D to address customer issues and bugs. Report customer service requests, monitor/track bugs and conduct CAD tool training sessions. There will also be a requirement for the successful candidate to travel to European and U.S. sites.

Qualifications Preferred:

BEng/MEng Electronics Engineering

Skills/Experience Required:

Skills in CAD Application/Design
Digital Place and Route experience
Synopsys Astro or IC compiler
Cadence SOC Encounter
UNIX/Linux
Tools knowledge with Synopsys - (DC, PC, VCS, Hercules and Star-RCXT)

Knowledge of:

Digital/Mix-Signal Cadence - (Aptivia, Spectre, Virtuoso-XL/VCR
Assura DRC/LVS/RCXT
VHDL/Verilog
Scripting: Shell (csh, bash) TCL
Cadence skill programming
CAD tool installation and setup in Linux/Unix environment
Virtuoso-XL/VCR
Assura/Hercules decks development

Following skills are a plus:

Basic Analog Design, Perl, C and C++, Ocean & Verilog-A/AMS, Web Development
Successful track record of providing tapeout support to design team is essential
