Our client designs, manufactures and markets a wide range of semiconductor products,
which are used in communications, computer and computer-peripheral, video and other
commercial and military applications. With manufacturing facilities and design centres
in America and Europe, they successfully sell and market their products worldwide through
a direct sales force and a network of independent sales representatives and authorised
distributors.
Along with the mission to become a leading manufacturer of high quality semiconductor products, they are now seeking to recruit a Sales Director Europe who will be based in Munich.
Responsibilities:
- The primary function of this role is to drive the European sales team in order to maximize revenue growth through strategic design win activity.
- Leadership of sales team which includes; sales managers, field applications engineers (FAE’s) and manufacturer's representatives
- Set priority for and target key business opportunities.
- Establish executive-level relationships with senior management personnel to maximize our clients' opportunity in Tier 1 accounts.
- Oversee the team's distribution efforts in order to successfully engage with Tier 2 and 3 customers and help diversify our clients' customer base.
- This will represent a considerable amount of travel.
Profile:
- BSEE plus MBA equivalent preferred
- 7-10 years of sales management experience including managing Field Sales and Field Applications Engineers
- Semiconductor Sales experience required with emphasis on Analog/Mixed Signal product lines
- Experience managing manufacturer's representatives and distributors highly preferred
- Direct experience with Tier 1 PC and cellular handset customer base preferred
- Fluency in English mandatory; French & German strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to motivate and drive sales teams
