Specialized in the manufacturing of state of the art electronic components, our client is a major player on the semiconductor market in Europe. They are at the cutting edge of technology, offering increasingly high performance services to its customers, world leaders in the New Economy.
Following a recent change in its business strategy, it has been decided to hire a new R&D Manager whose main task will be to set-up and drive the development of new processes and respond to the increasing demand from fabless customers.
Overall Responsibilities
The responsibilities of R&D Manager will be two-fold:
- Manage and drive the 90nm technology transfer from another semiconductor player (standard, Low Power and RF)
- Manage and drive the existing developments of 130 nm Embedded-Flash devices
In order to achieve these results, the R&D Manager will be in charge of:
Taking over the technical and personal leadership of the existing R&D group (around 25 people to date)
Developing all technology/options based on the company's portfolio
Support Marketing and Sales Organisation
Resource planning and project coordination, along with Design team organization.
Technical interface with subcontractors, including approval of technical project documents
Work with other external resources or partners
Required qualification/Experience
Good experience in technologies/options development and transfer
Strong technical knowledge of the following technologies: Aluminium & Copper (0.25m up to 90nm - 65nm) and options: Digital, Analogue, Mixed Signal & RF
Proven experience of managing teams of 10 to 50 people
Fluent in English
PHD or Engineering diploma or equivalent
Leadership and management skills, team building abilities
Communication skills
