Responsibilities:
Directs and manages the activities of the manufacturing unit, enabling it to meet key performance manufacturing goals and objectives to include quality improvement, on-time delivery, productivity performance, safety and cost reduction.
Plans, develops or refines existing processes to streamline manufacturing operations, to include the maintenance of business requirements to keep manufacturing documentation, billing of materials, and product structuring accurate and current.
Develops personnel to include training and career development; manages the performance management process to include the development of team and individual goals, implementing employee development plans, and coaching; manages the employee selection, hiring, reward and discipline processes.
Plans and coordinates the overall management of resource requirements for the manufacturing unit, to include the development of work schedules, manpower planning and system support.
Develops consolidated budget for the manufacturing unit to include planning and forecasting activities, to include budget roll-ups for individual work centers / departments.
Ensures new product transitions are well coordinated and planned.
Participates in strategic planning and objective-setting sessions; participates in cross-divisional committees to establish consistency in manufacturing solutions and processes.
Ensures safety standards are maintained in a safe and secure work environment; completes accident reports as required. Highlights product safety issues to engineering teams.
Prepares status and progress reports; establishes and tracks KPIs; creates / revises manufacturing related business processes. Drives quality activities through work centers, departments, and/or with suppliers. Requirements:
BS
9+ years direct experience; 5 years people mangement experience
Requires in-depth understanding of CVD, PVD technologies, familiarity with structures/parts/BOM of AKT CVD, PVD tools/system; strong project management, communication and knowledgeable budgeting and planning techniques.
Need to be familiar with field service processes. Skills and Abilities:
Requires strong skills in project management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, team skills, and applying quality, practical
hand-on experience on installation, customer service of AKT tools/systems
Requires proficiency in Lotus Notes, MS Office, Oracle BOM Education and Experience:
BS level degree or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related discipline
At least 5 years of experience in customer service, technical/ process support with 2 years in supervisory role/responsibilities
