GPS Engineer, Applied Materials

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Field Escalation Support for the ATON 5.7
  • Work closely with Product Safety to close loop corrective action on field safety issues.
  • Drive and manage field retrofits for the ATON 5.7
  • Provide critical On-Site support for installing the ATON 5.7 at customer sites.
  • Manage field communication content to customer sites (Customer Engineering News & Best Known Methods).
  • Manage to resolution top field issues pertaining to ATON 5.7
  • Identify require spares parts list including consumable parts, recommended stocking levels and on-hand quantities in spare parts depots (globally).
  • Prioritize documentation on assigned equipment.
  • Work closely with start up teams on reducing installation cycle time.
  • Track Installed Base performance and drive improvements to the product
  • Prioritize system software improvements.
  • Drive system improvements based on design for serviceability.

PREREQUISITES:        

Knowledge:

  • Prior knowledge of Applied Materials products, customer base.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Exeptional communication skills.
  • Capability to quickly grasp Applied Materials Technology.
  • Ability to travel 25%- 50% of the time.

 

Education and Experience:

B.S. Level Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, and 5-7 years engineering experience working with Plasma Etch, PVD, CVD, or related,  or equivalent.
