Basic Job Function:

Conceives, develops, and evaluates plans and criteria for the completion of process improvement projects and programs in a cost efficient manner.

Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline or Physical Science Field or the equivalent.
• 3 to 8 years process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment; will usually have specific experience in vacuum deposition.
• Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards, statistical methods and SPC tools.
• Glass, Photovoltaic and/or Thin-Film Deposition experience preferred

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes
• Knowledge of Engineering Techniques and Practices.
• Knowledge of ISO 9000 standards and SPC tools.
• Robust Engineering/design of experiments, Six Sigma and FMEA
• Proven quality Skills.
• Proven Technical Problem solving skills to include inter-personal applications.
• Possess excellent data analysis and collection skills
• Knowledge of MS Office suite and statistical. software
• Good Communications Skills.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Responsible to develop, continually improve, and document robust solar module manufacturing processes to achieve the highest product performance in a cost efficient manner.
• 
  Responsible to interface with other Company, customer and supplier representatives.
• Evaluate new proposed equipment according to process standards.
• Plans process experiments, collects and analyses data and reports experiment results.
• Develops and enforces standard operating procedures and accurate process description.
• Maintains effective communications levels and fosters Team Building
• Documents Process Parameters according to process description.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and good housekeeping standards.
• Exhibits and builds on "First Solar Competencies"
