Production Engineer, Applied Materials

Responsibilities:
Sets daily work center/department priorities; develops work schedules and assigns tasks

Researches and resolves issues affecting production schedules and daily priorities; defines design deficiencies and technical problems, and works with manufacturing engineering to correct.

Assists in the formulation and implementation of internal test procedures.

Ensures safety standards are maintained in a safe and secure work environment; completes accident reports as required. Highlights product safety issues to engineering teams.

Coordinates efforts of service and/or customer groups to solicit resources, tools, supplies, materials or services to meet production schedules.

Identifies process and quality changes designed to improve manufacturing capabilities.

Participates in the management and development of personnel to include the establishment of goals and objectives, coaching, preparation of performance appraisals, resolution of personnel conflicts, training and career development; participates in the employee selection, hiring, reward and discipline processes.

Participates in the development of the budget, to include forecasting manpower requirements and overhead expenditures.

Prepares status and progress reports as assigned.

Tracks KPIs and creates or revises manufacturing related business processes.

Responsible for driving work center quality activities back through upstream work centers and/or suppliers.

Coordinates efforts with test engineering to update test procedures / training / safety for new product introduction.

Requirements:

BS level degree or equivalent in a related discipline;4 - 5 years of directly related experience in a manufacturing environment, including 2 - 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience

Requires strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality.

Demonstrated ability in Human Resources management and leadership.

Requires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Oracle BOM, FRACAS, and/or PST
