Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI) is the global industry association for the equipment manufacturers, material and service providers to the semiconductor and photovoltaic industries.
Job Function
Develop and manage all functions related to the Public Policy program of SEMI Europe, including relations with governments and financial institutions.
1. Communicate and coordinate interactions between SEMI and EU Commission officials, Members of the European Parliament and their staff.
2. Provide expertise to SEMI members to implement SEMI's Public Policy agenda. Cooperate with other associations and promote the creation of any other informal body to support the agenda’s implementation.
3. Prepare written and oral reports for timely dissemination to SEMI members.
4. Manage meetings and briefings, oral and written communications with SEMI members and global staff.
Profile
* Education in MA in Political Science, Economics or a related subject or comparable experience.
* Experience with lobbying for the electronic industry required.
* Minimum ten years progressive experience dealing with governmental and other public policy actors, and officials of varying levels, including experience with working with the European Union and possibly national governments in Europe.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French and German a plus.
