Responsibilities
- Assists in development, application, revision and maintenance of quality standards for processing materials into partially finished or finished products.
- Assists in the design and implementation of methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or production equipment.
- Assists in the development of methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals.
- Assists in development and uses test procedures.
- Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
- Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results.
- Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department.
Required Knowledge and Experience
- Limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories and concept of the Quality function.
- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to effectively convey ideas through oral and written communications; ability to work in a group or independently; good analytical skills, detail oriented; ability to effectively listen to and resolve customer issues.
- Required: BS in Physical or Engineering Sciences or a related technical discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience plus 1 - 2 years directly related experience.
- Preferred: 2+ years directly related experience along with above mentioned degree.
