Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis under general supervision.
• Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision.
• Generate related alpha/gamma documentation for product release.
• Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.
• Troubleshoot a variety of moderate mechanical problems.
• Implement concepts for product issues and mechanical solutions of moderate difficulty.
• Assist in development of mechanical product specifications.
• With supervision establish task priorities.
• May be responsible for the design, development and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle.

Required Knowledge & Experience

• Requires good skills in change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills and quality. 
• Requires knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, Inventor, AutoCAD, Oracle BOM, and/or Oracle ECO.
• Knowledge and skills typically acquired by a completed BS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) and 2+ years directly related experience.
• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) and 0-2 years directly related experience preferred.
• Preferred previous work experience to include mechanical engineering experience in a development or manufacturing environment.
