Precision Mechanics Design Engineer, ASML U.S.

ASML is seeking an accomplished Precision Mechanics Design Engineer to join the Development & Engineering Department in Wilton, CT. This department is responsible for the specification and design of ASML products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Specifies, designs, develops, realizes, and tests subsystems within the limits of system specifications, costs and project planning
- Cooperates with other disciplines and suppliers to ensure the timely realization of competitive, achievable and serviceable products, including their product information documentation
- Participates in the definition of system specifications
- Specifies, designs, and develops integrated and validated mechanical and optical systems for lithographic exposure equipment
- Comprehends and visualizes the design from creation to end product
- Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, to make adaptations and modifications in order to solve technical problems
- Conducts, contributes to, and participates in formal and informal design reviews, the development and approval of engineering changes, and coordinates parts procurement and prototype construction
- Coordinates the execution of the design process, in order to realize the project, product, and program plans
- Reports progress and obstacles, initiates corrective actions
- Ensures designs that meet the specifications within the constraints given in the project plan
- Realizes the qualification of the design by ensuring the proto production and execution of tests
- Ensures adequate product information/technical product documentation to qualify, integrate, produce and test the product
- Collects and analyzes information in order to report timely required information to different users and management
- Provides regular status reporting to applicable departments in order to enable them to take required actions
Minimum Qualifications
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required, advanced degree preferred
- Experience with design of optical-mechanical mounts and mechanisms a plus
- CAD experience is required
- Unigraphics skills are essential; however will consider Pro/E experienced individuals; UG NX3 is ideal
- Pro/E must be in combination of other requirements
- Experience with TeamCenter Engineering a plus
- Demonstrated experience in design from concept to functionality
- Demonstrated experience with corporate engineering change process, such as SAP, MRP, or ERP
- Demonstrated ability in task and project leadership desired
- Experience in practicing implementation of design plans or developing specifications at any level of the design is required
