Industrial Engineer III, Applied Materials
Job Specific Knowledge and Experience:
This position is in the Solar Business Group.
Strong skills required in change management, problem solving, communication, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills, demonstrated leadership ability, human resources management, and quality. Proficient use of Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Oracle ECO, Auto CAD, Inventor and PDM. Ability to manage multiple projects (multi-tasking).
BS level degree in an Industrial Engineering discipline, or equivalent. 7+ years previous experience in industrial engineering.
Responsibilities:
Performs Methods Engineering analysis including process design, time and motion study, and production line balancing.Establishes and maintains performance measurement and control documents associated with work standards, learning curves, and man/machine performance. Conducts ergonomics / human factors evaluations, recommending and implementing improvements to work area designs. Provides economic risk analysis and return on investment calculations associated with project selection. Develops and implements manufacturing facility design of plant layout, material handling systems, material staging and warehousing, and office layouts as desired. Calculates and maintains capacity data for materials processing, people, space, and equipment associated with production. Establishes standards across all operational processes. May train lower level engineers. Provides guidance to manufacturing and logistics related to effective and efficient use of assets and production processes. Supports strategic implementation of product introductions into volume manufacturing.
