Knowledge and skills typically acquired by a completed BS in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) and 10+ years directly related experience; MS in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge) and 7+ years directly related experience preferred. Preferred previous work experience includes: electrical/electronic engineering experience in a development or manufacturing environment.
Job Specific Knowledge and Experience: This position is in the Solar Business Group.
Technically lead and/or execute engineering projects and spearhead research and development of new technologies as appropriate.
Responsibilities: Develop and implement concepts for range of exceptionally complex product issues and engineering solutions. Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of exceptionally complex engineering problems. Specify, supervise, or perform engineering analysis. Provide mentoring for less experienced engineers. Interface with internal and external customers regarding engineering issues for product line. Generate product specifications. Specify, supervise the development of, design, or modify engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics, and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope.
Define, coordinate, perform, and document engineering tests. Specify and review engineering documentation and engineering processes.
