Engineering Technical Program Manager, Applied Materials

Required Knowledge & Experience: Strong skills in change management, problem solving, communication skills, customer orientation, product technology, global business perspective, personal effectiveness, project management, team skills, and quality. Demonstrated ability in Human Resources Management and Leadership. Requires proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, Oracle BOM, Oracle NSR, Oracle ECO, FRACAS and PST.

Job Specific Knowledge & Experience: This position is in the Solar Business Group.

10+ years related experience to include 5+ years demonstrated supervisory / leadership experience. M.S. level degree in a related engineering discipline or an MBA.
Demonstrated success in organizing and managing multiple programs/projects with successful results.

Responsibilities: Develops program plan and oversees from conception and planning to implementation, including strategies, processes and resources. Ensures objectives are clearly defined and agreed to across the PBG through complete MSR and engineering specs.
Responsible for managing schedules and task details by utilizing project management tools such as reports, tracking charts, checklist and project scheduling software.
Manages allocated resources from other organizations to achieve on-time and within budget performance objectives for the program. Manages cost schedule performance of equipment for internal and external customers and vendors worldwide. Leads multifunctional design teams comprised of internal, external and/or matrixed headcount. Provides technical leadership to team members to achieve program goals Interfaces and coordinates with customers to define objectives, provide status updates and prepare for release and deployment. Provides engineering and business process expertise to team and other members on various programs/issues. Identifies and resolves potential complications within the program and develops solutions for resolution. Manages matrixed employees; contributes to effective performance management, employee development and retention.
