Supply chain Specialist , KLA Tencor

Responsibilities
1) Program management

Responsible for developing, modifying, and executing Supplier Sourcing and WIN Ops material processes for new products. Including the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals of outsourcing, part count reduction, key supplier quality & performance, and cost objectives. Establishes new product objectives and assignments, and delegates assignments to supporting materials group. Important to focus on customer (engineering) objectives/issues, program phase exits, manufacturing readiness reviews, and ensuring operational successful release of new programs.

Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules, and maintains inventory at planned levels. Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle. It may also include some financial analysis of E&O, standard costs/cost reduction tracking, inventory targets, etc.

2) Supplier Management & Supplier Selection

Responsible for managing key assemblies / suppliers within new products. In working with the materials team, leads the program release to gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards. Evaluates vendor reliability, develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are inadequate, ensuring new suppliers are put on contract. Monitors cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

Creating sourcing strategy for components using KT BKMs & other knowledge.

-Pull together appropriate cross functional teams
-Determine selection criteria

Supply Base Analysis

-Revisit KT key suppliers, add more competition where required.

Supplier Selection and Engagement

-Submit RFQs
-Manage process of evaluation and comparison.
-Negotiate deal with suppliers

Candidate should possess proven management skills along with excellent communication skills. Should be process oriented and results driven. Must have the proven ability to effectively deal with ambiguity, identify gaps and implement innovative solutions to increase operational efficiency. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results
Qualifications
Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Management, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or equivalent experience.

Experience and/or working knowledge of MRP and other material service parts planning processes (DRP).
APICS certification, NAPM certification (APP or CPM), experience with SAP a plus.
