Software Development Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities
Position:
KLA-Tencor's electron beam wafer inspection product line is the market leader in the wafer inspection with high sensitivity and throughout for the semiconductor industry. The EBI division�s engineering department has an opportunity for new or recent college graduate to join its software development team.
Job Duties:
Responsible for the development of system software components for machine control used on KLA-Tencor�s electron beam wafer inspection products. This involves both low level interfaces to the firmware & hardware to control individual hardware components in a complex system, and higher level control of subsystems & coordination between various subsystems. In addition, responsibility also extends to graphic user interface and application development for calibrating and diagnosing the ebeam wafer inspection products.
This job includes collecting software requirement and performing its analysis, producing software design, completing implementation and its unit test, and integrating it with the rest of software into the system and perform integration tests with real hardware. This job will be performed in a multi-OS development environment using Java, C/C++, and C#. In addition, documenting the work products, and working closely with colleagues in engineering, marketing, manufacturing and services departments and other divisions in the company are basic responsibilities.
Must be comfortable working in a well structured and process-oriented software development environment. Designs must be well documented, reviewed, and rigorously tested to insure high quality work products.
Qualifications
Required:
1. Bachelor�s degree.
2. Basic understanding of Object Oriented Analysis/Design/Programming.
3. Basic programming skills using one of Java, C/C++ or C# programming languages.
4. Good verbal and written communication skills.
Pluses:
5. Experience in software programming on a college research project, internship or prior experience.
6. Experience in hardware or instrumentation on a college research project, internship or prior experience.
