Senior Manager Vendor Management , KLA Tencor
Responsibilities
Description: This senior management position will be responsible for all aspects of vendor coordination and management reporting to the Senior Director of Enterprise Services (ES) in KLA-Tencor?s Information Technology department. The successful candidate will hold an important position in IT helping ensure success in the departments on-going globalization efforts and organizational transformation by managing the key relationships and contracts with its major vendors. This position will be responsible for all aspects of vendor and contract management for the Enterprise Services Infrastructure Group. Major responsibilities will include but are not limited to
1) Day to day engagement with a wide array of infrastructure and technology vendors.
2) Strategic and tactical relationship maintenance for all ES vendors.
3) Ensuring vendor compliance, enforcement of non-compliance penalties, and extraction of maximum business value for KLA-Tencor.
4) Management / engagement with vendor account teams fostering close, strategic, and aligned relationships which allow KLA-Tencor to leverage its vendor partnership for efficient project and service delivery.
5) Participation and management of weekly, monthly, and quarterly vendor governance meetings ensuring proper execution as measured by rigidly defined SLAs, scorecards, and governance framework.
6) Engagement with IT management, CIO direct reports, company controllers, and senior Procurement staff providing required support for all vendor engagement and contract support.
7) Financial management, forecasting, and reporting for vendor contracts exceeding $15 million in value.
The successful candidate will be a pivotal member of the ES staff providing input into group strategy, management, motivation, and staff development. This will include involvement / collaboration in the execution, maintenance, and stabilization of the department through an organizational transformation due to outsourcing and off shoring of key support activates over the next 6-8 months.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will be possess the following:
1) A 4 year technical or business degree.
2) 3 years experience in management of a budget in excess of $5M requiring balancing of expense and depreciated capital assets.
3) 5 years managing complex vendor relationships through weighted scorecards, formal governance models, and SLA?s.
4) 2 years experience in administering RFQ?s, RFP?s efforts and being involved in contract negotiations with the ability to understanding complex contractual terms and conditions.
5) IT management experience desirable but at least 2 years of involvement in delivery of IT support required.
6) Broad non-technical understanding of IT technologies including telecommunications, storage, servers, and networks.
7) Have the ability to communicate, partner, and present to upper level management. including the CIO, CFO, and company president.
Critical to success is excellent communication skills; written and verbal. In addition, the ability to reason through complex situations with strength in identifying and mitigating risks is required. Strong prioritization skills will be needed to manage all in-progress and pending projects in an appropriate manner. Individuals should exhibit honesty, forthrightness, and consistency in their approach to their staff, peers, and senior management.
