Senior Network Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities
The senior network engineer will be responsible for managing integration efforts associated with mergers and acquisitions as part of the network engineering team within IT. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluations of network & security environments, site visits, gap analysis, planning and design for integration, implementation & deployment of new networks, documentation, user training, and alignment with broader KLA-Tencor network & security strategy.
Successful candidates must be able to work independently and handle multiple diverse projects at one time. Must respond quickly to changes in focus and timelines, many of which will have aggressive timeframes and business-critical deliverables. He or she must have a broad range of exposure to IT topics and technologies within and outside of networking, and be able to leverage this knowledge to successfully reach consensus with a broad range of functional areas.
Candidates must be able to communicate effectively via written and verbal means to a global audience. He or she should possess rudimentary project planning skills in order to manage network-focused tasks as part of a broader plan. Candidates must be able to evaluate, recomend, and assert architecute & design for new components of the KLA-Tencor network.
Qualifications
Broad range of experience with multiple disparate networks in organizations of varying sizes.
Cisco routers & switches
Experience in a complex mutli-protocal routing environment (incl. EIGRP, RIP, & BGP)
VPNs & encryption
Information security / firewall experience desirable.
Experience with mergers and acquisitions focused on network or security remediation, planning, & integration
