Mechanical Design Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities: Applicant must exhibit proven experience with:
- Opto-mechanical & precision mechanism design
- Component selection
- Detailed drawing creation & BOM generation
- Subsystem integration and test
- Pro/Engineer proficiency
- Detailed system requirements flowdowns and error budget allocation
Must be able to design using 3D solid modeling tools, 3 years experience minimum. Ability to produce designs from the concept level. Must be able to assemble prototypes. Familiar with manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding fabrication and castings. Must be able to generate documentation required to release the design to manufacturing. Must be able to perform basic analysis of designs to verify performance. Ability to lead small design team desirable.
Should have a strong background in the design of mechanisms and basic understanding of optical subsystems.
Qualifications
Preferred applicants should also exhibit proven experience with:
- Experience with semiconductor capital equipment development
- Thermal, structural, & vibration analysis
- Tooling & test fixture design
- Supplier management
- Engineering change order generation
- New product introduction
- Manufacturing support
Ability to lead small design team desirable. Should have a strong background in the design of mechanisms and basic understanding of optical subsystems.
