Software Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities
Receives assignments in the form of project assignment, customer support, objectives, and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed and measured based on meeting objectives and schedules, quality of the support, and driving the closure of the custom project sign-off . Establishes and recommends changes to policies and processes which affect organization(s) and operation efficiency. Frequently interacts with customers and functional peer group managers and engineers. Interactions normally involve matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers and the company. Manages the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and customer satisfactions.
Responsible for the development and implementation of custom projects. Oversees and hands on work for the completion of requirement definitions, acceptance, implementation, unit customer signs off. Provides both management and technical leadership. Utilizes project management tools to estimate projects and monitor planning and progress techniques.
Qualifications
Required Competencies: BSEE or BSCS Degree required, with at least 2 years software development experience. Familiar with semiconduct industry. Candidate must have Oracle knowledge. Candidate must have a working knowledge of software development in C#/C/C++ and/or Java. Good communication skills. Preferred Competencies: Experience with products in the semiconductor fabrication and Defect analysis industry. Familiar with Defect and/or Yield analysis systems is a plus.
