Responsibilities
Senior Applications Engineer
Advanced applications engineering position supporting development of new tools/products in the Reticle and Photomask Inspection Division. Need to be able to work well with customers, solve problems quickly as well as to work effectively with internal design engineering teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, be current in the customer use case domain, have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work independently. The candidate will also be required to work towards characterization of the tool/algorithm performance and for providing clear feedback to the Engineering teams for product improvement, early during the product life cycle (During and prior to Engineering, Alpha Tests). Strong technical skills are required to understand the functionality and capabilities of these tools and for providing root cause analysis and potential solutions for customers, as well as a feature cost/benefit analysis to the design teams. Such skills include (but are not limited to) techniques for image analysis/processing, statistical analysis as well as the ability to quickly pick up and understand customer requirements and processes. Occasional travel will be required.
Qualifications
BS or higher in a scientific or engineering field with 5+ years of relevant work experience required.
MS or PhD in scientific/eng field preferred.
