Quality Analyst Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities
A senior Quality Engineer is required to administer our quality improvement initiatives. Will implement the policies and procedures of the quality functions. Ultimate goals are to reduce Cost of Quality, improve product cycle times and yields of critical components.
Responsible for all quality improvement initiatives related to vendors and suppliers of materials, products or services used in development or manufacture of our products. Assess potential new suppliers; work suppliers to develop and improve entire supply chain.
Designs, installs and evaluates quality assurance process procedures and statistical techniques; designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment; analyzes production and service limitations and standards; recommends revision of specifications when indicated; formulates or helps formulate quality assurance policies and procedures. Provide training and support on quality assurance concepts and tools. Interfaces with all other MFG, support and engineering groups within the company, also with customers and suppliers on quality related issues.
The ability to manage multiple projects at once and the ability to travel 25%-30% of the time both internationally as well as domestic are required. Six Sigma knowledge and experience in Semiconductor equipment industries would be highly desirable. The position will provide great opportunities with very broad areas of responsibility working with cross functional team. Not restricted to one area or product.
Qualifications
Experience as a Quality Engineer or in a Supplier Quality role with quality auditing experience.
A working knowledge of ISO9001:2000/TS 16949 technical specifications; and a strong understanding of statistical process control methods in manufacturing. A certified ISO auditor would be an advantage.
