Software Engineer, KLA Tencor
Responsibilities: Apply object oriented analysis and design methodologies and CMM Level 3 processes to develop machine control software for semiconductor wafer inspection tools using Java. Work with marketing, applications engineering, hardware engineering and systems engineering groups to understand system requirements and map them to a software design.
Hold and participate in requirements and design reviews.
Participate in all stages of software development including deployment at customer sites.
Troubleshoot problems as part of a team of hardware and software engineers.
Qualifications
Essential:
BS or MS in CS, Physics, EE
Very strong Java and/or C++ programming skills
Object-oriented software design experience
Experience working on a project involving integration of hardware and software
Experience or strong interest in machine control.
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Preferred:
Familiarity with CMM Level 2/3 processes
Experience in tool calibration and diagnostics.
Experience in developing software for semiconductor capital equipment.
