KLA Tencor is looking for Engineer/physicist to work with an advanced development team exploring novel approaches for semiconductor mask inspection. Experience in the design and analysis of optics and optical imaging systems will be beneficial.

You will be a member of a small team exploring technology options for KLA-Tencor's next generation reticle inspection systems. Some of your activities may include:
--Modeling partially-coherent optical systems
--Modeling imaging performance
--Exploring deep-UV and EUV (13nm) sources
--System noise analysis
--Light budget analysis
--Optical material damage
Qualifications/Education Desired
-- PhD (or equivalent experience) in optics or physics
-- Experience in optics and optical modeling of imaging systems
-- Experience in multidisciplinary development groups
-- Track record of creative accomplishments, publications and patents
