Recent experience with detailed analog circuit board design and layout for low noise in a mixed signal environment is required. Must be able to specify and design system interconnections including signal integrity and shielding concerns. Previous experience with complex electromechanical systems, and with low noise, high voltage circuits and systems strongly desired.
Candidate must be able to work effectively with PCB [printed circuit board] layout and assembly vendors to deliver prototype hardware on expedited schedules.
Experience with CPLDs [Complex programmable logic device] or FPGAs [field programmable gate array] using Verilog would be a plus.
The successful candidate will create specifications and then creatively use new and existing technology to design electronic subsystems to meet those specifications. Use of rigorous design methodology will ensure that designs are thoroughly tested, well-documented and able to meet demanding performance, manufacturability and reliability requirements.
