Mechanical Design engineer required to join small newly-formed multi-discipline group for support of optical metrology systems production. Works with electrical and optical engineers on team, as well as system integration team. Finds solutions to manufacturing process problems, looks for improvements in system design, creates documentation reflecting engineering and process change, drives solutions to process problems with built-in quality improvement. Workload consists of both short and long-range work, response to both internal and external inputs. Exposures to cutting-edge optical metrology, data processing, and robotic handling all part of the environment.
