Wireless Market Development Manager - Sweden - Semiconductors

Our client, one of the major semiconductor companies dominating the programmable solution space, is seeking a Wireless Market Development Manager who will be responsible for defining objectives and strategies for the market segment in close cooperation with European sales and US business unit. He/she will also develop market plans that identify target applications and provide differentiating value propositions. In addition help the European field focus on key applications and platforms that will generate the maximum revenue and growth. Other key responsibilities will include supporting the European field on their top platforms, developing relationships with operators, telcos and standards bodies to build strong knowledge on market needs and dynamics.

Based in Stockholm (with regular travel to Finland, Germany, France and Italy and occasional travel to the US, UK & Israel), you would be the leader of a virtual team, covering all the major comms customers in Europe. This team consists of their most experienced sales and FAEs, all of whom are committed to increasing their market share in the communications segment.

Reporting to the European Business Development Director, the role itself is very high profile both in Europe and the US and the successful individual will be given the freedom to help shape the company's strategy in communications along with their US business units.

We are keen to hear from candidates who have strong system and market knowledge as well as a good record in similar positions within the semiconductor industry (ASSP, ASIC, FPGA or DSP), design services companies, Telco/Operators or OEMs such as NSN, Ericsson or Alcatel Lucent. In addition 5 years experience within the communication or semiconductor market coupled with a degree in EE or similar.
