Product Engineer, Qimonda North America
Education Requirements or Equivalency: - BS degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics Minimum Experience/Skill Requirements: - Minimum of 3 years in industry with at least 3 years of DRAM related product experience. Experience with DRAM process technologies a plus, trench preferred - DRAM architecture and circuitry (SDRAM, DDR, DDR2, Low Power) - DRAM test (Advantest, MOSAID, Acuid or IMS) - DRAM reliability and failure modes - Semiconductor Processing - Semiconductor Device Physics - Statistical Process Control - Analysis and Software of DOE - DIMM architecture and testing (a plus) Job Responsibilities: Ensure new products will meet all customer specifications and requirements. Ensure that new products will be cost competitive in market by maximizing yield at the component level and maintaining quality. - Perform functional characterization of DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) components. Utilize Advantest, MOSAID, Acuid and IMS testers to identify root cause of fails. - Test early prototypes, uncover design weakness and link them to process issues and electrical circuit design. Utilize standard test methods and develop new tests to characterize and ensure quality of the products and prototypes. Propose solutions and fixes to be implemented in process and circuit design. - Perform the following production support tasks: 1) Identify functional margins to product specification or process sensitivities through Design Of Experiments (DOE); 2) Correlate and implement new manufacturing test programs; 3) Track and identify component yield detractors; 4) Identify low yielding processes and tools during ramp to volume production through data mining and data analysis. - Provide customer support through preparation of customer samples and analysis of customer returns. - Develop and program software tools for data analysis using SAS and JMP scripting (including Visual Basic). - Provide technical guidance to others and lead projects. - Solve problems independently on daily basis.
