Qimonda's Development Center in Williston, VT is looking for an outstanding, talented, CAD Engineer to keep us at the forefront of technology and invite applications from qualified professionals. You will be part of our highly skilled and experienced CAD team which is in charge of supporting the circuit designers and physical designers at our development center with respect to the entire required CAD environment suite from schematic entry, circuit simulation, layout entry, layout extraction to layout verification.

Specifically, you will be in charge of the layout entry environment (Cadence Virtuoso, Virtuoso XL) and the suite of layout verification tools (including DRC, LVS). If you bring skills with you in other areas of CAD that are relavent to the DRAM development flow, we are still interested in your application! You will have the opportunity to gain an excellent understanding of the CAD flow and will be engaged in developing project specific add-ons to the flow We count on you to find creative and effective solutions to various challeges you will be faced with. We count on you to assist with advancing our CAD flow and verification methodology in the interest of a first time right approach You will contribute to shaping our company's future low power DRAM product portfolio using our leading edge DRAM technologies.

We will customize a specific training plan suited to your needs.

Requirements: Experience in CAD of integrated circuits and/or integrated circuit design, especially in a full-custom environment. Good knowledge of layout entry and layout verification tools (Cadence, Virtuoso, Mentor Calibre, LVS, DRC) Familiarity with UNIX, SKILL, Perl, and shell programming.

Specific or Entrepreneurial Knowledge: Know-how of DRAM design and technology, know-how of DRAM functionality desirable Strong problem solving skills and commitment to follow-up on customer requests are indispensable

Excellent communication skills English (other languages welcome) MS + 1 years experience or BS + 5 years experience
