Evaluate, introduce and support state-of the-art software tools for the development of highly integrated circuits for conventional and special DRAM products. Improve the design environment by introducing and maintaining tools for the management of design and flow data (CVS, DesignSync, ProjectSync, Clear Case). Continuously work on the improvement of the Cadence based design system, i.e. continue to develop and maintain the SKILL based customizations of the Cadence framework. Provide the tools to establish and improve a knowledge database. Gain an excellent CAD flow understanding to be able to customize the generic CAD flow by project specific add-ons. Investigate problems found in the complex design system and develop creative solutions. Always strive for first-time-right and faster product development times. Observe trends in the EDA market, and if necessary, set these trends. Work in a strong local team and also embedded in the global CAD group Requirements: Experience in CAD of integrated circuits and/or integrated circuit design, especially in a full-custom environment. Good understanding of data management topics (RCS, CVS, DesignSync, ClearCase) Familiarity with UNIX, SKILL, Perl, and shell programming. Specific or Entrepreneurial Knowledge: Strong problem solving skills and commitment to follow-up on customer requests are indispensable Excellent communication skills English (other languages welcome) Minimum Qualifications: Engineer 1: MSEE or BSEE with no industry experience Engineer 2: MSEE + 1 year experience or BSEE + 6 years experience Senior Engineer: MSEE + 2 years experience or BSEE + 7 years experience Staff Engineer: MSEE + 5 years experience or BSEE + 10 years experience
