Final Test Engineer, Axcelis Technologies
Perform complex electrical & mechanical troubleshooting, testing and qualifying of semiconductor equipment both at the factory site and customer's worldwide locations. Builds and assembles semiconductor equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds semiconductor equipment as required. Works under general supervision and involves basic problem solving.
Essential Responsibilities:
* Build and assemble complex precision electromechanical assemblies and subassemblies to Engineering drawing documentation and specifications, with supervision.
* Perform electrical and mechanical test calibrations on implanter and assemblies to Engineering &
* Manufacturing documentation and specifications, correcting any identifiable problems with supervision.
* Perform mechanical, electrical, beam, and process testing on ion implanter to Engineering and
* Manufacturing documentation and specifications, with supervision.
* Perform electrical, mechanical, vacuum, beam, and process trouble shooting on Axcelis Ion implanters, with trouble shooting skills concerning ion beam and process issues.
* Evaluate implanter quality, performance, and configuration issues and resolve problems with supervision.
* Provide written and verbal feedback concerning test procedures, problems, Engineering design, parts procurement, and schedule conflicts.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers and gain their trust and respect.
* Provide on-site production technical support, equipment operation, repair, maintenance, upgrade and related customer support.
* Follow and adhere to all safety procedures and precautions and Identifies & correct potential safety hazards.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Identify problems, develop alternate solutions, and resolve problems as an individual or as a team
* Completes administrative documentation, procedures, and forms.
Skills/Knowledge/Ability:
Abilities: Operate and troubleshoot highly complex systems designed and build around the principles of plasma, physics, robotics, high vacuum technology, pneumatics, electronics (to 250keV) and Unix based operating systems. Solve complex problems. Apply technical knowledge and company polices to complete tasks. Generate new and unique ideas. Cope with change. Work well within a team environment. Manager time and resources efficiently. Communicate with a level of confidence and manage customer situations.

Education/Experience:
* Preferred Degrees: BSEE, BSPhys, BSEET
* Axcelis honors education and years of experience equivalencies. Prefer Associates with 1-2 years experience or Bachelor's degree with 1 years experience.
