Director, CIM (Computer Integrated Manufacturing), MEMC
Manages and directs the internal Computer Integrated Manufacturing function, to include factory automation, integration with ERP systems, development and CIM strategy development. Analyzes the needs of manufacturing and establish priorities for automation and standardization of CIM systems. Coordinates with functional departments involved in system requirements, techniques, and controls. Will work in a mature environment with global CIM specialists to develop and implement cost-effective, global CIM solutions.
Job Scope:
Analyzes the needs of manufacturing and establishes priorities for common CIM systems that will be implemented globally. Creates a global CIM strategy to include automation projects, benefits, timing and resource requirements. Gains executive buy-in of the strategy.
Interpersonal Skill:
· Must be able to adapt quickly to new situations and handle multiple tasks.
· Must be self-confident in ability and be able to accept demanding challenges.
· Must work well with a diverse group to achieve a common goal.
Intellectual Skill:
· Must be skilled in using analysis to draw conclusions from data, be systematic and rational.
· Must pay rigorous attention to detail, meticulous.
· Capable of perceiving situations as they really are, has insight or intuition, is politically astute.
Motivation:
· Must be pro-active, persistent and committed to quality.
· Must be intensely focused on projects and deliver within aggressive demands and resource constraints.
Job Related Experience:
· 15+ years in Information Technology or Industrial Engineering (5 of which needs to be in CIM development)
· 7+ years as a manager
· Technical experience in CIM & Automation – preferably in the semiconductor industry
Knowledge:
· Must have knowledge of system development and factory automation
· Must have knowledge of leading-edge technology and IT strategy development
Education/Experience:
· Must have a minimum BS or equivalent work related experience. Preferably in Engineering or Computer Science
Communication:
Must have excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
