Director of Market Research, MEMC

Leads and monitors the research and analysis of the company's markets, competition and product mix. Conducts research studies and makes presentations on new market areas and future market conditions. Analyzes the competitive environment sales records, market penetration, market potential and future trends and market recommendations based on findings.

Job Scope: Establishes operational objectives and work plans, and delegates assignments to subordinate managers. Senior management reviews objectives to determine success of operation. Involved in developing, modifying, and executing company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect. Works on issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives. Implements strategic policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements. Regularly interacts with senior management or executive levels on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers. Manages activities of two or more sections or departments through subordinate managers who exercise full supervisor in terms of costs, methods, and staffing.

Job Related Experience:
- 15+ years experience in technology industry or financial institute marketing or marketing research
- 5+ years in leadership role

Knowledge:
- Financial or MBA background in order to understand and analyze competitor and customer financial reports.
- Intimate knowledge of semiconductor materials and semiconductor device markets are required. Supply chain analysis from polysilicon through semiconductor end-markets including capacity (supply vs. demand), utilization, segmentation, growth rate, priory, etc.

Education/Experience:
- Must have a minimum BS or equivalent work related experience.

Communication:
- Must have good written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
