Software Engineer, Tokyo Electron Limited
Timbre Technologies, Inc. (TTI), a subsidiary of Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), is seeking a Software Engineer for our office located in Santa Clara, CA. Tokyo Electron Limited is a global, multi-billion dollar corporation and a leader in the semiconductor industry.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
- Design, develop and test software for an optical metrology system.
- Participate in the definition of the feature and software requirements and architecture design decisions.
- Develop code for various software components following the principles of Object-Oriented Programming and the company coding standards.
- Working closely with optical, mechanical, and systems engineers to perform prototyping, software/hardware integration and performance characterization.
- Test and troubleshoot software on all life-cycle stages and support software releases.
- Effectively collaborate with other members of the engineering team to find cross functional solutions to the problems.
- Develop test cases and support SQA testing including integration testing.
- Write and maintain relevant software and system documentation.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS/MA in Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably in semiconductor capital equipment industry. - Excellent knowledge of OOP principles and proven ability to apply them to the software design.
- Knowledge and experience in .net, C++ and C# required, experience in other programming languages desirable.
- Knowledge of Microsoft XP OS.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Should be able to work effectively in a team environment.
