Diffusion Engineer, AMI Semiconductor
1. Management of process improvement, process development, yield improvement, & equipment evaluation projects.
2. Responsible for process unit design and development, process optimization, and MAP & SORT yield targets and improvements.
3. Utilize DOE methodology for process improvement or development.
4. Coordinate SPC and PFMEA activities as required.
5. Documentation in the form of CER�s, EPC�s, technical reports and weekly status updates.
6. Triad support � provide engineering support for manufacturing Triad (Equipment Engineers & Production Managers) issues.
7. Work with production and industrial engineer on capacity and throughput models for equipment.
8. Support Supplier Managements Teams in specifying, evaluating, and maintaining materials (such as process liquids and gases.)
9. Project/Process analysis for cost reduction.
Position Requirement:
Requires a BS/MS in one of the following disciplines: Chemical Engineering (preferred), Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or Material Science.
Previous experience with fab semiconductor processes preferred but not required.
In addition the candidate will require the following skills:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Ability to develop/refine projects and to apply problem-solving techniques.
3. Knowledge of chemistry and physics and the ability to apply first principles for problem solving.
4. Six Sigma techniques in general manufacturing desired
5. Ability to perceive/set direction and to act upon realistic solutions.
6. Ability to coordinate and completed multiple project, simultaneously, to meet timelines
