Analog IC Design Engineer, AMI Semiconductor
Relocation assistance available.
- Analog design engineer focusing on DLL, PLL, POR, CMOS IO, ADC, DAC, high-speed IO/phy design for 0.5u to 90nm CMOS processes.
- Must be familiar with tools and methodologies involving implementation of AIP in digital and mixed-signal SOC designs. Performs verification of internally designed and/or externally acquired analog IP.
- Must be capable of creating required digital/analog models required for digital SOC designs.
- Creates IP characterization plans and automated test programs.
- Performs silicon validation on ASIC tester or in lab.
- Creates verification and application documentation to be provided to AMIS IP Core customers.
- Provides quote, factory and application support for assigned IP.
Position Requirements:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD a plus).
- Working knowledge of key analog IP; DLL, PLL, POR, CMOS IO, high speed IO/phys in 0.18u, 0.13u or smaller geometries.
- Experience with design DDR, DDR2, SERDES phy IP a plus.
- Working knowledge of analog design tools/flows; Spectre, Hspice, Virtuoso, etc.
- Simulation/Verification experience with VCS, Cadence Verilog(XL,NC) and/or ModelSim.
- Expertise in Verilog, VerilogA or Vital modeling.
- Working knowledge of bench testing hardware and tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
- The ability to work independently from and interface effectively with team members across many locations.
