Analog Design Engineer, AMI Semiconductor
The position for a senior design engineer is for a unique line of analog/mixed IC products. The primary role will be as a project lead, responsible for the specification, implementation, simulation and verification of array-based mixed-signal designs for a broad range of industrial, medical, automotive and consumer IC applications. The candidate will also oversee and guide layout implementation and validation. In addition, the candidate will also be collaborating with and guiding junior engineers assigned to their products. Some other responsibilities include:
� Oversee and participate in the bench testing and validation of prototype units.
- Support the feasibility study of new products.
- Support production level test development for their projects.
Position Responsibilities:
For this senior position, we are looking for candidates with:
- Masters degree in electrical engineering or similar with 5+ CMOS IC mixed-signal design experience OR
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or similar with 7+ CMOS IC mixed-signal design experience.
- Detailed, working knowledge of a broad range of analog blocks (A/D, D/A, references, regulators, amplifiers, switch-cap circuits, PLL�s).
- Experience with a broad range of sensor interface IC applications.
- Extensive experience with SPICE simulations a must.
- Strong bench testing and debugging capability.
- Creativity, dynamism, reliability and team spirit.
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
Additional useful skills:
- Understanding of high-level, full-chip simulation and modeling of mixed-signal ASICs.
- Understanding of digital design techniques in verilog, synthesis, autoroute, timing analysis, etc.
- Solid background in device physics.
- Analog or mixed signal design/layout experience over many different foundry processes.
- Hands-on design expertise with low power and/or high voltage applications.
- Can adapt and excel in a dynamic and growing environment.
