ASML is seeking an accomplished Manufacturing Electronic Engineer to join the Research and Development Department in Richmond, CA in a hands-on role supporting the manufacturing facility and equipment and R&D projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Designs, builds, and maintains computer controlled/automated equipment
- Provides electronic and electrical support for the manufacturing department
- Supports the research and development projects and process improvements with electronic circuit design, PC board design, PC software development, microcontroller programming, and PLC programming
- Recommends design changes, process improvements or substitution of materials
- Evaluates, diagnoses and repairs manufacturing equipment, facility equipment, and process control problems
- Supervises and supports the electrical maintenance of plant equipment and facilities
- Specifies and supervises electrical contracts
- Specifies, configures, and programs process controllers and PLCs
- Assists and supports IT staff with computer maintenance and repair, software specification and configuration, infrastructure installation and configuration, hardware/software requisitions, and network wiring and configuration
- Creates and maintains a preventative maintenance program
- Updates schematic drawings and wiring diagrams of facility and equipment
Minimum Qualifications
- BS degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience required
- Mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, motion control processes, industrial process control, and sensors required
- Experienced working with Orcad, C, Visual Basic, PLC, Microcontroller Assembly, and Labview
- Knowledge of servo systems and motion control systems
- Knowledge of microcontroller design and programming
- Knowledge of Delta-Tau PMAC motion controller is preferred
- Comprehension of PLC configuration and programming a plus
- Knowledge of internet connected data acquisition/control systems and programming preferred
- Understanding of PID process controllers and VFD motor controls a plus
- Knowledge of laboratory HVAC controls and high vacuum systems a plus
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally
