Senior System Design Engineer, ASML

ASML is seeking an accomplished Sr. System Design Engineer to join the Systems Department in Wilton, CT. The main focus will be to design, assemble, and align manufacturing tools or instruments that are used to assemble, inspect, and align optical assemblies.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develops methods to inspect optics during the fabrication and assembly processes
- Designs tools and instruments to assemble and test precision optics and optical assemblies
- Applies precision optical metrology testing methods including optical alignment techniques
- Hands-on laboratory work in the design, fabrication, assembly, and use of phase shifting interferometers
- Works in laboratory clan room environment using DUV or Visible laser systems.
- Creates and reviews optical drawings for optical tolerance and impact on manufacturability. Assists in product and tooling reviews
- Works in a multi-disciplinary team environment with product, manufacturing, and production engineers and technicians
- Applies project management skills in all phases of the project development and implementation: design, fabrication, and assembly, qualification, scheduling, and cost analysis
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Optical Engineering or Physics with an Optical Sciences emphasis and extensive and proven work experience required
- Minimum 15 to 20 years experience in an optical laboratory or manufacturing environment
- Experience with micron and submicron assembly and measurement
